Come For The Race,
Stay For The after-party
The Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon captures the essence of the city – historical, scenic, fun and exciting. As a participant in the triathlon, you’ll swim in the fresh waters of Dorchester Bay, bike through Boston city streets, and run along the scenic Southie shoreline. Following the race, celebrate with friends and family in the beer garden for our post-race party, sponsored by Michelob ULTRA! Register now for one of the biggest events of the summer and start training with friends. It will be a blast for athletes of all abilities, as well as volunteers, friends and family members!
In 2017, we are thrilled to announce that the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon will once again join other major urban triathlons in the U.S. as an Olympic Distance Race! The start and finish will be at Carson Beach and Mother’s Rest Fields, and will take advantage of the closed roads and pathways along the South Boston shoreline.
The swim course starts and finishes on Carson Beach near the McCormack Bathhouse and follows a trapezoidal path to the finish line.
The flat loop course is on a number of wide, car-free roads, including William Day Blvd. The entire bike course will be closed to vehicular traffic and managed by city police and state troopers.
The run course follows the waterfront to the Pleasure Bay Path, with spectacular views of the harbor. It is a loop course that finishes back at Mother’s Rest Field.
Come celebrate with us in the beer garden for our post-race party! All racers, friends, family members, spectators and volunteers are welcome to enjoy food trucks and unlimited free beer. We’re excited to announce that our sponsor Michelob ULTRA will be returning this year with a 40-foot mobile bar, complete with 6 flat-screen TVs and a roof deck. Our many other sponsors and vendors will also be activating in the beer garden providing fun activities and giveaways for all!
